DMD V0.22 is Here!

Hi guys!

Today we’re happy to bring to you the official release of DMD v22!

Version 22 will include all animated and bonus scenes, plus an updated walkthrough.
There’s again been a number of changes since our last release, the main one being that we had decided recently that this would be the beginning of Chapter 3 – the final chapter of DMD.
With the schedule that we have running between the two games, it should see us complete the game around the end of 2020.

We are incredibly thankful for those of you whom have supported us at any point during the production of both of our games, and especially those that continue to fund the ongoing development of DMD and MELODY.

About this update
 As mentioned above, this update will be the beginning of Chapter 3 – The Finale.
For those that have played through until the end of Chapter 2, you will remember that D and F are about to arrive in their new home Seaside.

We figured that it would be the perfect way to end this Chapter, and the ideal way to begin this new one with D and F moving into their new home.

V22 further progresses the relationship between D and the MC, and we will see how they put plans in place for their special relationship in the future.
They’ll meet up with some familiar faces, and someone F was hoping not to see again (one person in particular). Specific locations from Chapter 1 when D and F visited Seaside last time will also feature again.
As for F’s other relationships on the side (if you’re on the other girls paths), we have used this update to prepare those particular flames to be re-introduced into future updates. Not all characters will feature in v22, but now that we know that we have more time to work on the game, they will all be given their own special endings before we reach the final conclusion.
Without giving too much more away, we can safely say that this is the biggest update of the game that we have ever done.

There’s well over 1,700 new renders, record-breaking lines of code, several new animations, and even the walkthrough for Days 28 and 30 took several hours to get right!
Filling in the Q and A at the start of the game

Due to the issues we have with the transfer system with bringing saves across from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2 last time, we’ve taken the same approach for the start of Chapter 3, by asking you to answer a quick Q & A before starting.
The easiest way to do this is to take not of the points you’ve accumulated up until the end of Chapter 2, decisions you’ve made, relationships you’ve agreed or not agreed to start or end.
These decisions will be crucial to what scenes play out in Chapter 3, in this update, and the ones that follow up until the very last one later next year.

So answer these questions as best as you can, and keep in mind what potential outcome that you would like to most see by the end of Chapter 3.

We’ll do our best to include every possible ending by games end. More on that in future updates.
Days 28 & 30
Like with more recent releases of DMD, again there will be two days of the game.
However, you may notice that after Day 28 ends, it will skip onto Day 30. This is intentional, so don’t panic if you think that Day 29 might be missing – it’s not!!

Time skips have featured in the game already and it will be something that will become more common between now and the end of the DMD.
Another thing you will notice is that we have removed the friendship points from the game.

When you create a game that is a “work-in-progress” like ours, as a creator you have to make decisions at the time of production that you feel will be the correct one at the time. But later on down the track, ideas and story lines will change, and you’ll realise what is important to keep or what’s best to do away with.
Removing the friendship points makes perfect sense to us now. Your game or paths you’ve chosen will remain unaffected by this. None of the other points in the menu section have been removed (e.g. Sharing, BDSM, Exhibition).

As mentioned last week on my official site, our Unofficial Discord Fan channel was hacked last weekend, and all of the content on each channel there was unfortunately deleted.

  3. I entered the 200 LP points I had for the daughter route save. However, I got no more LP points in this chapter. Have you capped LP at 200 or is this a bug? All other points worked fine.

      MrDots will adjust this in an update of todays release which he’ll post up in the next day or two.

      1. I reached this limit (200 LP) in the middle of v21 already and was a little bit irritated that the points didn’t increase further like descibed in the walkthrough.
        First I thought this is a bug but now it makes sense.
        There were never a check of these love points or friendship points which had some effect on the story.
        The only effect came and comes from the “invisible” points (Sharing, Exhibition, ass points etc.)

  5. Is there not an option to romance both Jennifer and Georgina? Jennifer was the one I called to clean up the apartment, but it still had both of them marked as “Yes” in the menu at the end of 0.21. Was it a bug that I still had both of them as “Yes”? Was calling Jennifer supposed to close Georgina’s route?

      Calling Jennifer or Georgina to clean up the apartment increases the “relationship points” for one of the girls but it never closes the relationship as such. It wasn’t intended to do this.
      The other thing is, you can trigger the relationship to the three girls in the statistics menu by clicking on D’s face in the upper right corner.
      Unfortunately there is no possibility to switch on a “relationship” of D to Martin – so this ending will possible only if you triggerd this in episode 4 of chapter 1 (the first time D visits the MC at the office).

    1. For me the conversation between Rachel and Elena’s dad makes no sense.
      At the end of chapter one she knew exactly where to find Elena and D to get them back home. And now she states to Elena’s dad that she has no clue where to start the search for D. The only thing she didn’t (and probably don’t know yet) is the address of F’s apartment – but I doubt that. If she did allow D to visit F then she should normally know too where he lives – she can’t be that stupid.

    2. I don’t know, that sounds a bit wrong based on how the characters are and how the game has been going. So far, the entire relationship is driven by love and care for the other person. Encouraging D to smoke would go entirely against that as it would be a deceitful way to carry out your own perverted desiers. Even though F can push D in the direction of exhibitionism, sharing and BDSM, those can still be explored in a light-hearted and loving way.

      While I personally wouldn’t be bothered seeing what you propose (in fact, I would probably also find it sexy), I think it does feel a bit misplaced in DMD. Hardcore corruption games are more suitable for it.

DMD is not a corruption game, so it would be a bit strange if F all of the sudden tried to carry out perverted fantasies rather than growing a relationship with D.

      4. The reason why it is not corruption is because the story focuses on love between F and D. Their attraction is always mutual and based on getting to know each other more and more, eventually leading to a sexual relationship as well.

        If the game was about a father who intentionally tries to exploit his daughter’s inexperience and mislead her into doing things that aren’t normal simply because she doesn’t know any better, then you have a corruption game. There is nothing in the game at the moment that suggests that F is trying to use D for his own, perverted, sexual desires.

        In the context of the story, it would therefore not make any sense if he all of the sudden tries to make her smoke. That goes against how the relationship has developed and would be remarkable turn of F’s character. He has always made sure D is okay with what is going on. You have to be a nice gentleman to get somewhere in this game, something that isn’t true in corruption games.

        I like so much this game,but I cannot consider this type of relationship as justifiable in your terms.
        A father who wants his daughter sexually is NOT normal, then if you want to see romance, that’s fine.
        In the plot he himself “used” his daughter’s inexperience several times to accompany her towards a certain type of sexual action (this does not mean that her daughter would not have tried it herself, but this does not come out in the plot).
        One cannot but see the obviously “perverse” sexual intention, and with these bases, one cannot deny a corrupting act against her.
        The issue of smoking is now relative.
        Obviously the girl appreciates what is accompanied and this “legitimizes” the thing.
        To clarify … I am a fan of the story and I will continue to follow it and of course I am well in any way you want to see it, but to deny something obvious does not make much sense.
        But that’s okay.
        It’s still a great job and as long as it’s produced, I’ll follow it.

      6. Okay, whether you consider the relationship perverse or not, the problem is that it becomes difficult to argue for why F would push a detrimental habit upon his daughter, when he has never shown such incentives before.

        F has never tried to push something onto D, or forced her to do something for his own perverted desires. Usually we see that D has much of the same fantasy as F, so while he can take a leading role due to D’s inexperience, he isn’t trying to mislead her into doing something that only he wants.

        That’s the problem I have with your smoking suggestion. It doesn’t make sense that F would try get her to do something like that, when she would probably be against it. Do you see my point?

        And regarding the other things you said; I have never insinuated that you don’t like the game. DMD is definitely one of the absolute best out there. Also, I wouldn’t have a problem seeing D smoke. Just like you, I would find that sexy, but I struggle to see how it would be introduced naturally, based on my previous points.

        The only way I could ever see it make sense is if you could choose a fetish for F, such as smoking, and that D, due to being sexually attracted to F, would agree to it to excite him.

    I downloaded DMD on these sites, played a little bit and was typing in the translator, loved the lines of “D”, but it was very stressful to be typing letter by letter, was losing the horniness, so I ended up using the skip to jump until you reach a decision , but I wish I could understand the lines, get in the game, this site that I found the game has over 1000 titles, but DMD is the only one I look forward to.

    1. Hi vanderlei. Thanks for the feedback and I completely understand you. We wanted to add more languages to our games at some point, but unfortunately we don’t have the time to do it. The game is too big already and doing it ourselves would take us ages. We will upload the dialogues so that other people could translate them and once it’s completed, I could reupload the game with the new language available. But that will ultimately depend on how many people are willing to translate the game.

        About translation, searching so hard, I got help translating (using google chrome, not perfect, but better than nothing)
        Opening the ren’py files. It’s quite time consuming, but it will be worth it. But I saw in the forums, that as soon as you finish DMD, will relaunch, with full quality. If this is true, I will leave to translate in this new version. Although I preferred a true and quality translation.
        About the donation, I would very much like to answer some questions. I know it’s your job, you probably won’t want to tell details. But as I said, my country is hard to live in, but I will make an effort to keep at least $ 10 a month, and if I like what will come, it might even increase a little.
        Let’s ask the questions:

        No NRT. I personally don’t like it either, and I think it wouldn’t fit within D’s personality. There will be a shared path, and it will be optional for those who explicitly agree to share D with another guy. Not sure when this will happen as our priority is to work on the threesome paths with girls first.

If the next project is on the incest theme (Mother-son or Father-daughter) and I like the work, I can keep donating.
