Dating My Daughter’s Future

Hey guys!

I’m creating this post so that everyone can join in the discussion. I know I have many fans from other sites like f95zone, and I know there are people who can’t financially support me so I’d like to read everyone’s thoughts here.

As I said in my Patreon post, we will try to continue developing DMD on dmdgame.com. v.17 is going to be released in Mid-February to those who pledged during January. I’ve got your email addresses so I can add them to an email autoresponder.

Patreon has practically forced us to create another game in order to keep the page alive, so we can’t offer DMD there anymore. It was either that or seeing our account getting banned.

It’s not what we wanted, so we’ll see how that goes. But our main project will always be DMD.

The project won’t be canceled but we will work at a slower rate than when we’re on Patreon, mainly because we have to look for another payment alternative and we’ll also have to focus on the new game as well. But don’t worry, DMD will be finished no matter what!

We are looking at some potential solutions but for now, we are not entirely convinced. As much as I hate Patreon, they are the best and we might have to wait for a long while until we see some serious competition.

I’ll be reuploading Dating My Daughter: Chapter 1 and Ch.2 v.16 (Without censorship!) to site like Payhip, Gumroad, etc. tomorrow. I don’t know how long they will last, but at least those who didn’t like the censored game will be able to get the original one and also help us financially.

We knew this day would come eventually, and to be honest, I’m kinda glad that DMD is out of there. Patreon was killing my creativity, with all the censorship, the patches, and I’m not sure if my patience would have lasted much longer.

DMD will become Dating My Daughter again, and I’m really excited about that 🙂

Thank you for being a loyal fan of the game. I really appreciate that and those who experienced the first censorship wave, you know that I would never choose a big company over my fans.

But I’m glad you’re still going to finish it and I’ll gladly help in whatever way possible. No matter the increase in time.   13. Mr dots you have a debt with more than 4000 people. They are not excuses. You must finish “Dating my daughter”. If “patreon” will not work then there are many alternatives. You can not disappoint us all. Please, continue with the project and do not start anything new until you finish DMD.

    2. It’s not a debt and I don’t like that suggestion. As another who has donated a decent amount of money, I was still fully aware that at no time was I guaranteed a complete game. All this has done is make me a little more wary about using Patreon to fund incomplete games.

      I also really want a complete DMD, and I also really don’t want to give Patreon any money due to their censorship crap, but the alternatives either take larger amounts of money off MrDots, or they’re a bit more shady (or unproven) and therefore put our financial data at risk.

      Give or don’t give, but don’t put words in us other donators mouths by suggesting he “owes a debt to 4000 people”.

      1. I know it doesn’t support paypal, but that’s actually a good thing as Paypal is the problem. Patreon didn’t just suddenly get a wild hair up their butt to crack down on incest. From what I hear they’re looking at Bitcoin though, more anonymity than Paypal. Could actually help.

      2. Stripe is not supported in my country so I can’t collect the funds people send me on MakerSupport. And according to my last poll on patreon, half of my subscribers use Paypal.

  17. Hello Mr Dots,
    just today I become a patreon for $20 to support you and your fantastic game. But I can’t hold that $20 support every month. So I thought I download the last versions of DmD and the walkthrough and on every bigger update also. 😦 I maybe had better count on your mail supply from last Wednesday. I’m not so happy that patreon restricted your work.
    I thought the latest versions were not censored like that. 😦 Now the $20 are gone to patreon and I get the censored version.
    Hopefully the other pay to download sites are not so expensive.

    I’m so looking forward to v0.17 and every update! And I hope you can finish DmD! 🙂 And I hope it will be ready soon. :))

    1. It’s kinda dead. “January 15, 2018: Pledging is currently disabled while we upgrade our systems.” Those are some hefty upgrades if ya have to work on them for 12 days straight.

  19. Maybe it can work even better this way. I suggest you don’t create a new game to be presented on Patreon, instead you:
    1- Create sexy 3D renders there, so your current patreons and new ones can keep supporting your game (Dating My Daughter) through Patreon.
    2- You keep developing DMD and you release it outside Patreon, in MEGA or something like it.
    3- The images you create for DMD that can be displayed in Patreon, will be the ones you will be releasing there from time to time, and for Patreon records these images are what your patreons are supporting you to do.

    1. I read your Patreon message now, and I realize you cannot keep anything related to DMD in your Patreon pages. So instead of DMD renders you would have to create other sexy renders to be displayed there and be supported by your DMD patreons.

I think he could keep doing just sexy renders (something that won’t take a significant amount of his time, so he could continue developing DMD) until he finishes DMD and then his Patreon page could either be used for another game if its theme is allowed by Patreon or continue being used for sexy renders if his new game is taboo themed again.

      4. Not possible I’m afraid 😦 They already told me that I can’t collect funds to support DMD, so the dummy project is a no go. In fact, I suspect they are expecting me to do exactly that to ban me. It’s too risky and I won’t take the chance.

      5. Presenting a product completely not related to DMD on your Patreon page shouldn’t lead to any ban if it’s content is within Patreon rules. So, legally and in a common sense they couldn’t ban you for whatever you do outside the Patreon system. Of course they run Patreon, so they can ban you for no reason at all. And it can also happen if you start a real new game project there and continue developing DMD outside.

      6. I suspect that they are trying to push him and his like out of Patreon altogether so ANY reason will do. They have been very specific regarding tying payouts to DMD in any way and that means via links, semi hidden messages pointing to those links etc. Because if we can follow him so can they, and they will for a while. DMD must certainly become an entity of its own elsewhere and finalized elsewhere. He has all of the email addresses necessary to make those concerned…the remaining 3965 of 4132 of us (figures as of last night) to keep us apprised of updates. He also has a section of https://www.makersupport.com/mrdotsgames reserved in his name and support there is available. It appears little known as I am the only one there as of now. It may well be an abandoned idea so lets see what MrD has to say about it. He can and should use an off Patreon site to keep the game alive until it finalizes. Also should (I think) continue on with Patreon with a new game that appeases them and keeps us and a new crowd involved and engaged using the likeness and of course, body of our current daughter in something entirely different…the range is limitless. It was most likely never his intent to do only DMD so the creation of new game was always going to happen. the problem I foresee is that entirely genius individual has the bar very high with this game making a new one the meets or exceeds this one may be a large pill to swallow. Here is hoping. and hey Mr.D…I will follow you anywhere and back you to the frikin wall….Arthur

      7. I hope https://www.makersupport.com/mrdotsgames works, so he can develop DMD without needing Patreon for anything. He could keep a page there without updates at all.
        But if he wants a game there on Patreon, I have a few ideas I started developing for AIF games. Mr.Dots could pick one of them and start slowly developing it on his Patreon page, one update per 60 days or so. While he works on DMD. Well, here are the plots synopsis:

        Barnard’s Star

        You are a 27 year old pilot. You have a bachelor degree in geology. Usually you only pilot spaceships, while others do the research job. But in this mission you are responsible for registering the strange geological formations in one of the moons of a planet orbiting around the Barnard’s star.

        At the beginning of your mission your spacecraft suffers a big damage and it is not able to return to Earth. A SOS signal was sent but it will be received on Earth only after 5 years. You have to land on the only planet in this system capable of supporting life. This planet has inhabitants who look like us. We have some information about them but we still don’t completely understand their language.

        If you do everything right you land on the planet and you encounter one friendly tribe. By their law you are supposed to marry one of their females in order to be accepted in the tribe. They are very jealous about their women and they won’t accept a single man to join their tribe.
        You end up being married to a 620 year old woman. But as their year takes just 7.6 days, she is quite young, she looks like an Earth’s teenager. The girl is eager to get married and to become “a real woman”. She is very interested in sex.

        The gravity force on this planet is 80% of the Earth’s gravity. It makes you 20% stronger there than on Earth. You have an advanced weapon with you while they have just spears and bow and arrows. Soon you will be helping them a lot during their hunting.

        The problem arises when hot local girls are openly showing their interest in you. The tribe men begin to resent you. Will you succumb to temptation with so many hot girls clearly wanting to have sex with you?

        NOTES

        1- After a couple of years an Earth automatic station receives your SOS and a rescue team is sent to help you. Will you want to return to Earth and leave your young wife on the alien planet? She’s a savage she will never adapt to the technological society where you live on Earth. Will you stay with her on the alien planet?

        2- In order to give a sense of loss. The story should begin with you living on planet Earth and you beginning to conquer the girl you want to be your girlfriend. Then you have that mission assignment.

        Natalie My Crush

        Natalie is your classmate, you always had a crush on her but you’re too shy to tell her about your feelings. She’s always friendly, and she has this beautiful smile on her face every time she talks to you. You think she may like you a little, but you don’t think she likes you the way you like her…

        After a sexy event Natalie gets even friendlier to the player. She comes to talk to him everyday. Eventually she will suggest the player to stop by her house on his way to school, so they can go to school together.

        When they begin going to school together, more sexy events happen and the player finds the courage to ask her out on a date.

        When the player asks Natalie for a date and she accepts it, she says ‘There is just one problem, my mom doesn’t let me go out on dates, so the date has to be in my house.’

        In the evening the player will arrive at Natalie’s home, he will be greeted by her at the door and moments later by her mom in the living room, where their dates will take place.
        They will be sitting on the couch cuddling and watching a DVD. Her mom will be in a recliner to their side. Eventually mom will fall asleep, and they will be able to raise the temperature of their making out.

        More and more sexy events will occur during these dates. If the player goes too eager too soon he may upset Natalie or wake up her mom and Game Over. If he goes step by step he will have sex with Natalie even at school.

        I had planned a young brother to Natalie. He would help you to cover up your advances with Natalie if you become his friend. In exchange he would want you to let him see your naughty actions with Natalie.

        You are X, 27 years old, you have graduated in computer science at a prestigious university, and got a specialization on computer graphics. You managed to get a very good job at a big computer game company. You’ll start working there on October 1st.

        You’re taking September as a kind of “vacation”, before your real job begins. Now you live by yourself in a small house, and you work from 9 to 12 as a computer instructor for kids in a local NGO.
        You’re walking down the street after buying a new watch, decided to return home, when you notice on the opposite sidewalk a stunning schoolgirl. She’s apparently returning home after school. The girl is wearing a microskirt that leaves nothing to imagination. A fair amount of her butt cheeks are exposed. You cannot imagine how the principal and the teachers at her school allow her to attend classes dressed like that, but you’re surely glad they do!
        You try to imagine a way to approach her. If you do it right you’ll end up becoming her math tutor, and sexy events will begin.

        You’ll find some strange objects in Camille’s house and her mom has a secret agenda. You will also meet other girls and you may be able to have sex with them. But the main focus will be on Camille.
        This story is the one I advanced longer. I have about 4 or 5 days written.

        All these stories were created having AIF games in mind (Adrift or TADS) that’s why so many pictures, objects, commands and synonyms.

      10. how is it possible to control that? the funds should be going to the “MrDots” company if say you are being paid for art and make DMD on the side but don’t list it on the site (use like this site to post it etc.) how can they possibly have any control over it? the patreon page is supporting the are not the game so what’s the issue?

      11. I agree with you Reddy10. As long as a legitimate project within Patreon’s guidelines is being created on the Patreon site itself, then you should not be banned for violating any TOS. I mean come on guys, this is a website, not some secret government intelligence agency. If DMD is created completely away from Patreon, then there should be no issue. So as I said above, once the money is in Mr Dots possession, how they utilize it is up to them, not Patreon. As long as Mr. Dots doesn’t go around saying they are using funds from Patreon to continue creation of DMD, then all should be good.

      12. So do they actually monitor how you spend your money, too? Does all pledge money go to a Patreon specific checking account? I mean once the money goes to your personal bank account, which I assume it does, you should be able to spend it on whatever you want. So, I don’t see why a portion of the money you get from pledges can’t go to support DMD. Just don’t post anything about it. Just use whatever funds you can on the project and not tell anyone. It’s like going to the grocery store or getting gas. No one will question you about it.

You have one of the most loyal followers in the world one could ever ask for and we will have your back till the end of this world.     1. Epoch and ccbill seem the only real viable currency transfer options right now. They are admittedly slow to pay but if MrD walks in with over 3k of supporters willing to share the wealth I would think them a bit more open to moving that amount of funds in a more timely manner. Dont know, just my thoughts for now…we all are brainstorming here so with that many brains following this dilemma we will come up with a solution.

  29. When you find another revenue source, I’ll happily move there. Don’t know how long I’ll keep supporting you on Patreon, but this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I’d rather support you through something else than have Patreon get even a slither of the cash I give you.

  32. Patreon is going to end up killing itself. There are so many games that involve incest and other taboos. DMD, Family Life, General Practitioner, Big Brother, My Sister Mia, Research into Corruption, and many more. If they close all of their pages down they will end up with no customers.
    The majority of their revenue is not adult-content related.

The ENTIRE adult genre is small potatoes to Patreon, they could lose them all and do just fine and a whole new vegan lot will fill the void with this vileness gone…Patreon started with one guy…it does not need us nor does it apparently want us.   40. What keeps u from make another game “Black Overlord vs Parteon” v0.000001prealpha on patreon, freeze it for like forever (I’ve seen alot progects with 0 updates for years) and send new versions of DMD to patrons who will keep financally supportin u instead?
    U can even erase all inaproriate info about DMD from patreon and keep it like platform for supportin u.
    Well no new ppl will know bout DMD from pateron but at least ppl can keep supportin ur DMD project.

  46. Hi Mr Dots, sorry to hear the news, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing DMD, one of the only games I have foind I enjoy and I hope you can find a way to keep it going. I for one pay to yourself via Paypal and it is bloody conveniant but
    it was never a deal breaker. I would pay by cc, bitcoin or whatever to carry on playing this unique game and I am sure most of you Patreons would agree with me. Maybe a straw poll via email would let you find an alternative payment scheme before moving to another platform. Hang in there fella.

      1. I am sure they are, and they are not just responding to the outpouring of messages, but also trying to finish up 0.17, as well as looking into other payment options. As they said, they will be responding to each message, but it just takes time.
