Dating My Daughter’s Future

Hey guys!

I’m creating this post so that everyone can join in the discussion. I know I have many fans from other sites like f95zone, and I know there are people who can’t financially support me so I’d like to read everyone’s thoughts here.

As I said in my Patreon post, we will try to continue developing DMD on dmdgame.com. v.17 is going to be released in Mid-February to those who pledged during January. I’ve got your email addresses so I can add them to an email autoresponder.

Patreon has practically forced us to create another game in order to keep the page alive, so we can’t offer DMD there anymore. It was either that or seeing our account getting banned.

It’s not what we wanted, so we’ll see how that goes. But our main project will always be DMD.

The project won’t be canceled but we will work at a slower rate than when we’re on Patreon, mainly because we have to look for another payment alternative and we’ll also have to focus on the new game as well. But don’t worry, DMD will be finished no matter what!

We are looking at some potential solutions but for now, we are not entirely convinced. As much as I hate Patreon, they are the best and we might have to wait for a long while until we see some serious competition.

I’ll be reuploading Dating My Daughter: Chapter 1 and Ch.2 v.16 (Without censorship!) to site like Payhip, Gumroad, etc. tomorrow. I don’t know how long they will last, but at least those who didn’t like the censored game will be able to get the original one and also help us financially.

We knew this day would come eventually, and to be honest, I’m kinda glad that DMD is out of there. Patreon was killing my creativity, with all the censorship, the patches, and I’m not sure if my patience would have lasted much longer.

DMD will become Dating My Daughter again, and I’m really excited about that 🙂

Thank you for being a loyal fan of the game. I really appreciate that and those who experienced the first censorship wave, you know that I would never choose a big company over my fans.

P.S. I’ve received HUNDREDS of messages on Patreon, here and on Discord. I’ll be responding to each one of them but It’s going to take me a while, so please be patient 🙂

  1. I honestly hope others will follow your commitment and determination, I understand you’ll have to start a new project and funnel some of that support to DMD I look forward to more updates for DMD

    Just read the news on Patreon, terrible! It sucks that the world goes more and more into a thought-police state or more profit oriented.
    Also, I’m happy to see so many users who bring up ideas on how to continue the project.

    I’d add my 0.02$ here as well.
    If it’s possible/legal: Just release an image pack each month. People can download all the CG without text. Thus people can make their own story. Fine and dandy for Patreon but here is the catch:
    On one image at the start, you make a MEGA link or a link to your site with a password on it. People type the link in their browser and voilla; They get the url to the REAL game.

    Or a kickstarter project 😛

  3. Big Brother is back up with all downloads intact. Apparently Patreon has allowed him to fulfill his commitments to those already paids. He is also designing and introducing a new game on Patreon.

    1. I e-mailed Mr. Dots about this a few days ago and heard back yesterday that they have not posted anything yet. They do plan on it, just haven’t done so. Their literal words were to just stay tuned. So, I am thinking either they haven’t had the time to post it yet with everything going on or they are waiting till version 0.17 is done to post anything anywhere. Either way, I am going to wait patiently.

  11. You should immediately start some way for people to at least give you bitcoin in exchange for being on the mail-list and perhaps you just make it a one-time purchase so that to get the next update you just donate again and get it in the email.

Nvm it won’t cut it, mainly because of two reasons, one because the creators have limited amount of time to earn their pledges before their campaign gets shut down by them and two, the pledges are one time thing. Patreon have monthly pledging system which gets renewed every month as a subscription and since the duration is indefinite the projects will never expire. Honestly all these websites are sub par they don’t hold against patreon very well, i guess there is just no alternative 😦

  13. So this was mentioned once on f95zone, but never got any response.
    I thought, it was a quite good idea.
    If there is no other way and you need to make a second game, why not a prequel to DMD, with the MC and Rachel?
    It would not contain any related people, but still deepen the DMD Lore.

    2. We looked into doing a spin-off series featuring either Georgina or Margo but we felt those ideas would be shut down immediately, given the email we received from Patreon’s Content & Policy Team.
      A brand new game with no reference or even any likeness to DMD is the only way to go I’m afraid.
      But not to fret, the designs I’ve seen so far are again of the highest quality, and hopefully the game itself and the storyline we are in the process of making, can match it as well.

  15. MrDots, Have you thought about giving Patreon exactly want they want, but Not the way they want it!
    By that I mean making another game, a New game that’s a parody of Fairness or Patreon’s new rules system.
    MrDots making this new game could take a long time to make, because of telltale like nature to its gameplay, so take as long as you need to make it, MrDots O.o
    Plus by Patreon’s new rules, there will be no reason the for them to stop your funding this time!!

Je suis heureux de ta décision, de sortir de patreon et de continuer DMD , sincèrement, j’ai craint de voir le jeu bloquer par ses décisions de patreon. c’est un peut la chasse aux sorcières un peu partout dans le monde avec les tabous de plus en plus restrictifs sur les œuvres de jeux et BD comics traitant l’inceste et la famille ou les jeunes ados. moi m^me j’ai eu des problèmes avec la justice de mon pays pour ces jeux et BD que j’ai télécharger, mais je ne renoncerais jamais a mes jeux de ce genre quoi qu’il en soit et je continuerais a vous soutenir et continuer a nous faire plaisir avec vos jeux et surtout DMD?   20. I Love that Story telling of your game, it’s great. I played the game like 5-7 times and sometimes the same route and it never gets boring because you guys are great in Story telling. With the new game you guys create on patreon i have worries that patreon will also take there your creativity away. The story telling is great but without that taboo theme the story can get boring even with good story telling. The new game will need something that can replace that taboo theme with something else that is also really interesting, then with the great story telling that you guys have i would have no doubt that this game will be also great like DmD was. Hope you guys make DmD great again.

  23. I was having a forgettable Christmas until I found a copy of DMD. I was quickly floored by the character renders and the storytelling, this was easily the best Christmas gift I’ve received in years. I’m one of the many pulling for you to keep up the good work. Thank you for your efforts.

  26. I’d like to contribute and receive the upper tier of the game, but I don’t want to blow my money on patreon. So, what’s the new plan? Can we contribute directly through PayPal? I’m “emotionally invested in this game and HAVE to see it through to completion. Let know what I can do to help and I’ll do my very best to help you out. To be clear, any monetary pledge you make on Patreon is to go to support on the new project, which should be fantastic, and to pay for rent, food, staff expenses, computer needs, etc. for that new project. (Out of those items – some amount of DMD staff effort and purchased DAZ art packs and whatnot related to DMD should not come from Patreon related pledges.) — I would still pledge what you are comfortable with on Patreon knowing that crossover expenses (rent – for – and computer whatnot are necessarily covering both projects [new and old] with no distinction. – e.g., you are keeping the studio lights on… a studio that happens to be doing two projects at once.

  28. I don’t even understand the point of Patreon. They serve no purpose at all. I’ve had a page for years with a PayPal link for patrons. It takes like 15 minutes to set up. You need help?

    1. I agree It was a good solution. Just need to have a monthly option and we can support like usual Dating my daughter or maybe an other daddy project 🙂 I m not fan of what can be the new project because the partreon new rules

      1. monthly option or they just need to trust their patrons that they’ll pledge every month to keep it running, but if i were in their place right now i wouldn’t risk that aswell. we can just hope that they’ll find another solution, i dont like the idea of supporting patreon in the same time anymore.

  29. it is a shame that DMD will not be updated as regularly as it has been, however, i am glad that its development is not being terminated as i (as well as many others) would love to see it completed. although i have never met you, or even talked to you, i can tell that you care about people who play the game as well as the game itself, unlike majority of the game developers who would have either changed the game to comply with Patreons (bullshit) rules or stopped developing the game entirely. but instead, you have decided to take on a significantly larger amount of work that may also decrease your income for a while (by creating a new game) just to continue to develop DMD, and for that, i, along with so many others, are thankful. i just wish more developers shared your love for the actual games and the community that it created. **Cough cough** EA **Cough cough**

Why not set up a site with all the adult games incest/bestiality developers and create some paypal links on that, so we can support you guys! 😉 like setting up a site with Terebonkoff, Inceton, isctor, dark silver, etc. and have the site in sections of the developers were you can support them by donating 🙂

    1. That is apparently not the plan. Quite the opposite, melody will have the full attention of the dev team while dmd is shelved for the time being. the money is being made currently from melody not dmd.
      dmd will be completed I suppose but as with all games in this particular predicament it is not feeding the family so to speak so it will get its attention when it gets its attention. As I told mrdot when he told me this, it is quite sad, it is hands down the best game I have ever encountered. I searched countless games to find another of its caliber and found not one. Guess we wait………..

  41. While a game like DMD is very long and laborious, it would be good to continue, not with the regularity of always, but if we say an update every two months, and use a different platform for donations, say cryptocurrency, or directly Paypal or similar, so that this game is not forgotten.

  42. It is so much better than porn in many ways, being fiction for one, any thing can happen with out hearting any one, and those whom might not like it need not play. I must say that I prefer if there were more options in the story line that lead to a “happy” ending. The other points (not fp or lp) do they matter and if so how? How many chapters are planned to be in the complete game/story? How did you come up with such a gorgeous girl ? Others in the game/story are very beautiful but she is in a league of her own.

    1. She is very much in a league of her own, her replacement but a shadow. This character bought MrD almost 4 thousand supporters, though the story was as much a fluke as the character and pulled you in almost as much as she did. As for chapters and whether this will be something the team sees fit to finish is an answer we are all looking toward. MrD said when in Discord in a moment of emotion that this project is promised to be finished….but…as time moves on and this project is back burnered, well, I suppose we will see. I will give the benefit of the doubt until that is no longer prudent. Hang in there with us and lets see.

The game is by far more superior than any other game in this category simply by its depth and , the details , the feelings , the thoughts of the characters as well as the joy it generates to the player ! Not a silly game , really important decisions must be made and of course it totally worth it because the game puts you in the shoes of the father or the daughter (mostly) and you are actually shaping their relationship ! The father should have just a bit more options when it comes to choose , accept or reject some girl . Personally I wouldn’t bother going out with any other girl but the daughter simply because her personality is exactly what I would call adorable ! If it wasn’t for the daughter I would love to be with Georgina …the rest girls of the game are just too petite for my taste and I felt like a perv just by watching the scenes …LOL

  50. this game is awesome, i am already at Day 18 (where it ends until further updates) but the lead up to it has been an awesome mission on its own, please let me know as soon as the next part of this game is released….if i wasnt poor, i would throw a ton of support your way coin wise but until then, all i can do is mention how awesome this game really is and hope you do continue with it, very keen to find out how it all ends, my hat goes off to you MrDots, all the best for whatever you decide to tackle next 🙂
