May News – DMD v.18 Release Date

Hi Guys!

Today I bring you news that I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently for.

The Official release date for DMD v18 will be on SATURDAY, MAY 26th.

My team and I have been working on the continuation of the game this week, and we’ve made a significant change to how v17 ended. After discussion’s with my chief writer “HearszAM”, we thought it would be best to re-write the last few lines as to not make D and F’s departure from her country overly forced, and to make their eventual time to leave more plausible.

At the time of creating v17 and then having to delay it’s initial release, due to having to remove the game from Patreon, this particular scene was pretty rushed, given our urgent need to post the game up here on my official website.

The most important thing was being able to get v17 out for you guys, and at the time, I wasn’t sure when we would be able to continue working on it again. But now that that time has come, and after re-assessing how v17 ended, we figured it would be best to change that last scene.

As for v.18, the story will focus on the aftereffect of the events between D and F from the night before, and during the morning scene. There will also be the long-awaited trip out to the countryside to look forward to, which we’re currently in the process of looking at locations and outdoor themed scenery to include in this update as well.

Right now, we don’t know exactly how many more episodes of DMD we will release. A lot of that will depend on fan support, how well the BMAC system works for us, whether a better platform becomes available – a lot of things really!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to those that have donated to me through the “Buy Me a Coffee” system.
It just shows how much you all care about DMD continuing, and hopefully, my team and I can get through to a conclusion (without any more interruptions), that I know that you are all hoping to see.

If you aren’t aware already, we’ll continue working on both games until a better way of doing things becomes available.

At present, my team and I are working on two updates of MELODY, and then one update of DMD, on this rotation.

So after DMD is released at the end of this month, then June and July will be spent working on v0.0.3 and v0.0.4 of Melody, and August we will focus our work on DMD v19.

  7. I do enjoy the game I have to admit that but to be honest there are some parts I feel a little forced for the father and daughter romance. Look I do understand that the game is called Date my Daughter but some parts shouldn’t feel force. This is due to the fact that you can other relationships with other characters yet the main romance is the Daughter so I feel that the other romance don’t really matter this is also due to the fact that main character dose not seem to feel regret about the idea of having multiple relationship but that just me being a little picky while am at it. I also feel that the whole lp and fp don’t really matter. Well this is also due to the fact even if you don’t use the walkthrough and you chose a choice the leads to a game over that feels really forced I mean whats the point of having two choices only for one choice to lead to a game over? I know am ranting a little bit and kind of criticizing it a lot but that’s how I feel. Its not going to stop me from playing I always play games until the end but I have a strong feeling that no matter what relationship you have your going to end up with Daughter in the end but we will have to wait and see.

    i’m a new player having just found, down loaded, and played DMD, which i must say as’nt stopped this last few weeks, having played it every way and found new sections,rewards and outcomes every time, I take my hat off to you guys over there at MRDOTS GAMES, You seem to have made the bench mark in these games with both DMD and Melody of which i think so highly of i became a Patron off. After arriving to late to get involved with DMD i thought was the least i could do.
    I look forward to the return to DMD as the last update left us all with a bit of a cliff hanger, i only hope you guys can find a solution and return to the game ASAP lol.
    So thank you all, keep up the brilliant work i look forward to seeing more of both DMD and Melody in the coming weeks and months.
