It’s been a long time between drinks as they say, but after having some time off over Christmas and January, and then five weeks of almost non-stop work, we proudly present the fifth instalment of Sunshine Love to you today!

Having some time off allowed us to reflect on the previous updates of the game so far, and to better plan out what we want to happen for each of the pathways (and for our many characters) between now and the conclusion of the story.

Again with this update, we’ve attempted to balance time between the potential love interests in the game and to give you all decent opportunities to either form a relationship with them or to just be friends with them (or work colleagues).

Some characters may feature in every update, depending on their importance to the story in each release.

And if other characters don’t feature in Version 5, then there’s a very high chance that they’ll do so in the next one.  For those of you who have played up until the end of the previous update, we’re certain that you’re looking forward to seeing how things continue between our two main leads, especially given the precarious position your childhood “Friend” finds herself in.

You’ll get to know the hotel resident masseuse Jazmin a lot better in this update, and you will also have the chance to become even closer with her if you allowed Jazmin to do something “special” to you before the big wedding 😉

If you agreed to do something “fun” with one of the twins when you spoke privately with them at the wedding after-party, then you’ll get some alone time with either Ivy or Lily in this update.

You will ask “Shortcake” for some help with something really important very early on, which means the two of you will be spending a lot of time together.

For those of you who are considering pursuing the cute teen redhead, then make sure to do and say the right things when the time comes.

And don’t forget to collect as many “Shortcake” points as possible – there’s plenty of them available in v5!

There will be more details about the significance of the points allocated to each girl in a future update, so make sure to collect as many as you can!

Some of you may have been wondering or have even asked us who the final character will be added into the game, due to the “Question Mark” profile in the Character Info menu.

Well, the answer to that question will be revealed in this update – YES, there is a new character that will feature in v5!

Be sure to keep an eye out for her 😀

IMPORTANT: There’s a scene midway through the first day of the last update where you can offer to help Shortcake at the front desk in reception.

This scene has now been implemented. So if you choose to “Offer to help Shortcake”, then a scene with Shortcake will now appear on the morning of the wedding.

It’s still early days, and you may need to build up your relationship with some of the ladies in Sunshine Bay first before you start getting to the “good stuff” with them.

Whereas others might be DTF sooner rather than later! 😀

Final Words

So here it is, our first update of SUNSHINE LOVE for 2021! It is now available for you to download and play.

We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.

The team and I would love to be able to continue making these kinds of games for as long as possible, and having you all supporting and encouraging us will make that dream possible.

Whenever we get to the last week of working on any of our updates, we always wish we had more time to add in more scenes, more animations, or give more screen time to certain characters. But unfortunately that’s not always possible, and once we’ve set a deadline, we always try our hardest to have the update released on time for you all.

You guys (and girls) are funding our projects, and in return, we want to keep to our word and to deliver our work on time, every time.

For the next few weeks, we’ll be working on our other game, and then once that has been released, we will re-commence work on Sunshine Love V6.
