I hope you’ve all been well and have been eagerly looking forward to playing the final version of Dating My Daughter for 2021 – Version 33!

But don’t fret, there will be more updates in the new year (more on that below).

MrDotsGames 2022, Sunshine Love, and taking some time off

After another challenging year, the team and I have managed to get through it pretty unscathed and with very few complications compared to previous years.

As most of you know, we reached five years of creating adult VN’s in September, and we’re more than happy to continue making these kinds of games if you all are happy to continue supporting us! These VN’s have become a major part of our daily lives and it’s something that we completely dedicate ourselves to.

We very rarely take any proper breaks throughout the year and in order to be successful, then we realise that sacrifices sometimes have to be made.

That being said, there’s always the threat of us suffering from burnout so, with that in mind, we will be taking our usual break in January to have some time off and to hopefully come back fresh, and with some new ideas for both of our games – DMD and Sunshine Love.

For those of you who have been playing and following Sunshine Love, there will be a “revision update” released at some point in December.

We’re going to aim for just before Christmas, but if we need more time, we’ll take the extra week and have an update out before New Year’s Eve.

Either way, it will be a very special release for you, our very loyal and dedicated fans! 🙂

About this update and the final versions of DMD

Anyway, here we are with Version 33 of Dating My Daughter, and what we can confirm to you all is that we’re not quite at the end of the game just yet, but we’re very close.

We can’t assure you how many updates we’ll need to complete the story, but we’ll surely end it next year. 

Like with previous chapters, we’ll also need one or possibly two updates to do a full revision of not only this final chapter but also Chapter’s 1-3.

The revision will include grammar fixes from the very first day, fixing renders, animations, plot holes, edits and additions to the sound FX and music, but we will also be looking to add in more renders, extending certain scenes and to include more options for you as well.

For anyone who has played Melody, then you probably already know about the “Fantasy Scenes” gallery that we included just before we finished working on that game.

We are looking to do something similar for DMD before wrapping things up, so any combination of characters that don’t make it into the story part of the game, may just end up in this special scene gallery 😉

The immediate plan is for us to close the various pathways (e.g. Olivia, Georgina, Elena, Cassandra etc) with each of these remaining updates, while also continuing to tell the story for those solely on the D/F path. After you have played this update, the storylines for at least two characters

will have come to an end, at least until the final release of DMD.

The various endings we have planned for the D/F “only” path will be included in the final update of the game (this will be subject to change, some of these endings may also end up in the second last update).

In the previous update, F and D had to overcome various challenges and obstacles, namely in the shape of F’s ex-wife Rachel (D’s mother), and the vengeful Tyra, D’s modelling rival.

How will they handle the situation if either of these two characters attempts to disrupt their relationship again?

Is there a way for our delightful father-daughter duo to succeed?

During v33, D and F will have a couple of wild options to choose from for their date on the first night, and if you are on the Olivia and Graham path, you will be catching up with the friendly couple at one of these two locations.

But what kind of event have they invited you and your daughter to? What are you willing to do with D if there are other people around? 

For those of you on the Martin path, will you and your daughter be able to figure out a way to continue your unique relationship with Martin in this new update?

Can a long-distance relationship like this one be sustained?

And what of the other special woman in your life, Georgina? Why has she been required to work long hours at her new job? 

Will working late nights have an effect on the intimate side of your special little threesome?

In this update, you will further push the boundaries of what D may have been hesitant to try with you or with other people.

Some of these things she may even decide to do without you.

We have two more major events in the forthcoming updates – the private party that singing celebrity Koko has invited you and your daughter to, and something that Cassandra has in the works for D regarding her future in the modelling industry.

The latter event will take place in a very “special town”. Any ideas where that might be?

The final three petals will fall in the remaining episodes, but you may need to be on certain external paths to be able to make them fall.
