This has been yet another challenging update to create, mainly because we are at a point in the story where we already have one eye on creating the various conclusion to the game, which will be sometime next year.

What that means is there will be certain choices that you will be required to make during the next few updates that will determine what kind of ending you will get, and with which girl(s).

We’re also looking at implementing various combinations and also places where a “Game Over” is a real possibility if you make the wrong choice.

This is where having the game walkthrough could be very important.

Games are meant to be fun but also challenging and these are a couple of major aspects that we try and focus on making available to you, our supporters.

About this update

When the last update concluded, you, the MC, realised that Nicole (who is either still your girlfriend or now your ex-girlfriend) attended the burlesque festivalthat you and your Childhood hosted at the hotel.

If you’ve been following the story up until the end of the last update, you already know why Nicole was in Sunshine Bay and why she didn’t tell you.

So what will be the best way to react to this?

Maybe talking about Nicole to someone who is a good listener might be the way to go.

Someone like Jazmin, perhaps?

Ever since you arrived in town, fitness and exercise haven’t exactly been high on your daily or even weekly agenda.

But that’s all set to change when Jazmin gets you up early one morning for an intense fitness session!

And if you’re on her path, she might have another way that the two of you can “break a sweat”. 😉

With another event at the hotel being planned for the forthcoming weekend (to help raise money to repair the lighthouse), all you need now is a dress-up theme for your fundraiser. It will need to be something different, something that the local community will certainly get on board with.

And you may also want to consider inviting an important guest to attend your function.

Visiting Trisha for some help with this seems like the right person to talk to for some advice.

But as per usual, she’ll want something in return for her time.

If you are on the Childhood Friend and the Vicky path, a certain machete-waving father gives you some handy information – about where you can find The Boss during this new update.

However, if you are not dating Vicky then a visit to D’Amico’s cute daughter, Connie, at her hotel room may give you the information that you need.

And if you are on the Connie path, she might have another special surprise for you 😉

Towards the end of the update, you will go to dinner at a high-class restaurant in town and you will have a huge decision to make.

Who are you going to take with you as your date?

And will you finally show a bit of backbone and courage by telling The Boss what you really think of him?

What will be the consequences for you, your Childhood Friend and the hotel if you choose to do this?

Maybe you’re not worried by this, and all you’re concerned about is not being seen as this bland, boring wannabe lawyer from the big city?

If you are on the Shortcake path, you have the chance to really help the gorgeous redhead come more out of her shell, while also continuing to admire her beauty and innocence.

How much further can you go with her in this update? Well, that’s entirely up to you!

Just remember that Shortcake still has some trust issues, and if you do right by her, then that will only give her more confidence in herself and especially in you!

NOTE: You can either take Friend or Shortcake to dinner with you later in the update.

To take Friend as your date you must NOT be on the Shortcake path.

To take Shortcake, then you either need to be on her path or if you are seeing both girls, you will automatically go with Shortcake to dinner.

If you are not on either girls’ paths, then your will take Friend with you to dinner.

In this update, you can finally complete the remaining tasks and achieve the “4-Star Level” for the hotel!

Check the hotel menu (in the top left corner of your screen) to see what tasks you have remaining and which new ones have been set so that you can eventually make the hotel a “5-Star Resort”!

NOTE: The next set of tasks will go some way in determining which game endings you will get after the conclusion of SL.

The Shortcake path

As some of you might be aware, the newest member to our creative team, Mistress Elemental, started working with us officially a few months ago.

A lot of the Shortcake scenes in this update were created by him (SC getting ready for dinner, walking with the MC into town, the dinner scene, the alleyway scene).

He spent a good 3-4 months on creating these renders and also a special animation, plus giving us directions for how to write and code these scenes.

We feel that this update is significantly better due to the inclusion of these scenes and we can’t thank Mistress enough for his hard work and dedication in creating them.

So here it is, the fourth version of SUNSHINE LOVE – CHAPTER 2 – Version 4 which is also the final update for this game for 2022.

We will have some more updates from this, our third VN, in early 2023!

We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.

The team and I would love to be able to continue making these kinds of visual novels for as long as possible and to have you all supporting and encouraging us will make that dream possible.

Whenever we get to the last week of working on any of our updates, we always wish we had more time to add more scenes, more animations, or give more screen time to certain characters.

But unfortunately, that’s not always possible, and once we’ve set a deadline, we always try our hardest to have the update released on time for you all.

It’s something we do very well and much better than most. It’s a promise to you, our supporters, and one we always hope to keep.

You guys and girls are funding our projects, and in return, we want to keep to our word and deliver our work on time, every time.

Between now and Christmas, we will be working virtually non-stop on the final update (for the story part) of our “other game”.
