Chapter 2 is now well underway and the storylines and pathways continue in this brand-new update from our third visual novel – SUNSHINE LOVE!

About this update

When the last update concluded, we left the story on a major cliffhanger which will affect you, the main character (as well as those who were close to Mister Roshi) in a huge way.

Can you and your Childhood Friend make the hotel a success without his wisdom and guidance?

The story picks up on a sad note, farewelling Yuki’s father, leaving her without a family member in her life.

Will you be there for Yuki in this time of need? If you’re on her path, how much will this affect your relationship with her?

At this very sad time, you know that you can depend on some of the people that you have already met in Sunshine Bay to help comfort you and help you overcome this tragic loss.

If you’re on the Ashley path, she will come to check up on you later in the day to see how you are and to see if you’re available for a get-together that night.

However, if you’re on the Shortcake path, perhaps you’d prefer to spend time talking about your thoughts and feelings with the redhead cutie instead.

It’s going to be a difficult day for everyone involved, and even though Mister Roshi is gone, you still feel like he’s around. Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t.

And what about his personal nurse, Himari? Did you make a promise to Mister Roshi (before he passed on) that you would go to visit her when “the time was right”?

Are you still willing to fulfil that promise?

With the funeral taking place, the proposed country and western event that was meant to take place at the hotel had to be postponed.

But with the help of the tantalising twosome, Ivy and Lily, they still want the event to go ahead, albeit a week later than scheduled.

So be sure to get your cowboy or sheriff’s outfit from the local party store before the weekend. The gorgeous teenager Connie is more than happy to help you out with that!

And if you’re on one of the Twins’ paths, then you’re already well aware of how much they love to party, and it’s when a party is taking place that they might make their move… on you!

What could these two have planned for yours truly while the country and western takes place during this update?

Will you be joined by just one of these sexy cowgirls, or could “three” be the perfect crowd this time around?

Despite all the drama surrounding Connie’s father, church movements and now Mister Roshi being no longer with you, the hotel is still going strong.

Surely nothing just as devastating could possibly happen after such a tough and traumatic week to stop this great run that the hotel is currently on, could it?

New additions to Chapter 2

NOTE: For selected scenes, the music player will be disabled as to not kill the immersion during some of the scenes.

The scenes affected are:

– Mister Roshi’s funeral

– the country and western event scenes (not including the barn scenes with Ivy or Lily)

Once these scenes have concluded, then you should be able to play tracks from the music player again.

We will look at doing something similar for certain Chapter 1 scenes when we do our next revision.

Loading your saves from Chapter 1

When arriving at the end of Chapter 1, you were able to save your game and name it whatever you wanted to.

Before starting Chapter 2, you will see a screen that lists all your saves that you can load and continue from:

However, there is also an option to manually enter your choices.

Simply choose “Manual Entry” and then you can:

– put in the name of your character, Childhood Friend, Shortcake and Kristina the church girl

– choose which girls’ paths you are on

– put in the points you have accrued for each

– select whether you are in an “Open Relationship” with Nicole or if you are now “Single”

– answer various questions that relate to Chapter 1

NOTE: When you put in the points that you have scored for each girl if you put in an amount that is over the max total (for any love interest) at the end of Chapter 1,

then it will default to the maximum score when Chapter 2 starts.

i.e. if you put a score of 50 points for Victoria, then it will default back to 44 points as that was the most amount of points you could have accrued for her by the end of Chapter 1.

For those of you who use the manual entry option and are also on the Twins path (Ivy or Lily), if you chose to “Go back to Childhood Friend” when you were in the hotel room with one of the twins during Chapter 1, then ten points will automatically be taken off your score if you choose the maximum amount (or more).

i.e. If you put a score of 42 or more for the Twins, and you also chose to “Go back to Childhood Friend”, then your starting score for Chapter 2 on the Twins path will be 32.

Searching for Doughnuts!

We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.

The team and I would love to be able to continue making these kinds of visual novels for as long as possible and having you all supporting and encouraging us will make that dream possible.

Whenever we get to the last week of working on any of our updates, we always wish we had more time to add in more scenes, more animations, or give more screen time to certain characters.

But unfortunately, that’s not always possible, and once we’ve set a deadline, we always try our hardest to have the update released on time for you all.

It’s something we do very well and much better than most. It’s a promise to you, our supporters, and one we always hope to keep.

You guys and girls are funding our projects, and in return, we want to keep to our word and deliver our work on time, every time.

For the next few weeks, we’ll be working on our other game.
