What happened to HumbleBundle?

Hi Guys,

As many of you have noticed already, you can’t get DMD through HumbleBundle anymore.

In this post I’m going to try to explain in detail why this happened and what you can do if you’ve already bought a copy of the game using HB.

The reason why you can’t get DMD on HB anymore is because they have deleted the game from their library. I still don’t know exactly why they did that (probably because it’s an adult-oriented game, who knows?).

I’m still waiting for a response from HumbleBundle on this issue, but I doubt I’ll get a positive one (or any response at all, their customer service is shit!)

In the meantime, we’ve decided to take this option off of our website pages to avoid any future problems.

However, some of you have reported that you can’t even get the download links, even after you purchased the game.

So any old customers who bought a copy through HumbleBundle no longer have the game in their library. This sucks big time!

So, the only solution I can provide is to give you the download links through email.

Please also provide a proof of purchase (you can forward me the original email in your message) and I will personally send you the download links in your Inbox.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and I’m afraid that the HumbleBundle option will no longer be available from now on.

Right now, the only way to get the next DMD update will be to subscribe to SubscribeStar. The next update if you are not aware will be released on:

Saturday, June 29th.

We’ve been using SS since the beginning of the year and it has been proven to be a good competitor to Patreon and I hope they keep growing in the future.

We might look for another alternative to HB in the future, but it will most likely be when DMD is completed, and we’ll try to assure that these issues won’t happen with the new platform.

  1. Hi, OK so I bought MrDots a Coffee (Yes I have been here awhile). I have been able to download the game up to now. The question is, do I have to buy another copy through SS in order to continue to play the next version? Not that I mind you understand. I just don’t want to miss out.

    1. No need. If you’ve bought a coffee back in the day, you can also send me an email. But if you were able to download the latest version, then I don’t think you’ll need to do anything to get the next one. The links will get updated in that download page that you have. Of course, if you want to subscribe to SS, you’ll also receive the naughty previews, and a copy of Melody as well, but that’s up to you 🙂 Thanks for the support!

  2. As I understand no, like you I bought in with Coffee and we got link page from MrDots witch says following:
    Please bookmark this link or email, as I’ll be updating the new version when they come out. You won’t need to pay anything extra. Just keep that link save and you’ll receive future versions for free.
